Fall is a very busy season on the farm as we rush to get all the winter crops in the ground. As the days get shorter, and there is less sunny hours each day, plants take longer to grow, so time is of the essence!
A big event on the farm is strawberry planting. It's typically an "all hand on deck" days as we tuck thousands of little plants into the warm soil. This year our strawberry delivery was delayed, and so our crop is getting a bit of a late start. Thankfully we have one field planted and ready, and two others to be planted shortly.
With loving care we plant each row, hopeful of a good crop come spring. Its exciting to think of having fresh berries once again, and we cannot wait to share the sweet goodness with you as well.
I hope you all have a lovely week and are able to get out and enjoy this cooler weather!
