Many of you are familiar with the fact that we are a teaching farm where we offer a six month internship. Each Spring we train in a new group and start anew the round of classes, field trips, farm tours and hands on labor on the farm. If you don’t go to the farmer’s market or come out to the farm you may never meet our inters, so we just wanted to introduce them to you. The Garnica Family (see if you can figure out which 5 make up their family :) are originally from Columbia, South America but have lived here in the states for many years. Kloe comes to us from Idaho and Richard from California. The 7 of them make up the largest intern group that we have ever had. Beyond them we have hired two former interns. Brianna (2020 intern) is baking all the GF bread this summer and will be doing other value added products. She is Pam’s personal assistant and cheerfully does any work needed. Keith (2019 intern) is focusing on keeping out tomato production healthier this year. He is also managing Thursday’s CSA harvest and packing. Each one of them are contributing to the end product that you will be enjoying this summer.
