Welcome to Week 9! This is the halfway point in the season.
Spencer's arm is healing quickly - thanks for all the well-wishes! He's able to do some packing and deliver produce (as you know if you've seen him at Evans Brothers on Wednesdays), in addition to directing the day-to-day operations and his general behind-the-scenes farm magic.
Pictured above is our industrious crew. Left to right is Scott, who drives our deliveries, Katherine with June, Spencer, Cori (full time on farm), Nicole (full time on farm) and Rose (harvest day help). They have all pitched in with extra helpfulness, words of encouragement, and hard work such that we don't feel like we're behind and all the crops are getting planted, harvested, and delivered on schedule. We are so grateful to all of them!
Eggplant is on right now! We have some beautiful, huge, glossy purple eggplants waiting to go to your kitchen. Our summer squash is also coming into its own after a slow start. Both of those items are excellent on the grill, but they also freeze quite well if you're feeling overwhelmed with vegetables at the moment.
